Edgecam Classic Design Training (Duration 1 day)

Description

 

 

 

Learn essential Edgecam functionality and Design tools. At the conclusion of this course, delegates will be able to construct complex 2½D wireframe geometry in readiness for subsequent machining. They will also gain an understanding of industry terminology and obtain the necessary skills to progress to the next level.

Description

Introduction to the CAM environment. Delegates will learn how to create and edit toolpaths for milling. Working from a practical CAD example, the aim of the course if to produce a gouge free CNC program.

This course includes 'Design for Edgecam' but with the addition of machining techniques to address 2-axis Turning. Delegates will learn how to construct geometry, while being guided through the many features of EdgeCAM Turning. At the conclusion of the course the user will fully understand the CADCAM life cycle and will have ‘proven’ the part within EdgeCAM Simulator.

Description

A split Level course encompassing Postprocessor writing and Edgecams Toolstore Database.
Initially, this course guides the user through Postprocessor development using Code Wizard.
This interactive course is designed for those users wishing to become self sufficient in postprocessor writing, and a hands on approach is very much encouraged.
The latter section of the course is a 'must' for users who want to maximize productivity and programming efficiency.
Delegates will learn the different tools found in Edgecam's ToolStore Database (Technology Assistant, Job Manager, Technology Assistant and Job Reports).
Please note delegates should have completed Edgecam Classic Design and 2½D Axis Milling or Edgecam Classic Design and 2 Axis Turning prior to enrolling on this course.

Course title

Edgecam 3D Design and Machining Training (Duration 2 days)

Description

Building upon the knowledge already gained in earlier Edgecam courses, this exciting course takes the delegate into the advanced features of Edgecam 3D Surface Modelling. It also offers delegates the opportunity to experience the sophisticated techniques of mould and die manufacturing.
Presented in a logical and practical way, complex models are created, and then machined using 3D cycles.
This two day training course is split into three sections
Section A Design for surfaces (¼-½ days)
Section B Machining of surfaces (1-1¼ days)
Section C Advanced surfaces Machining. (½ day)

Section A: Geometry principals for surfaces

  • CPL'S & View Ports
  • Entity types control
  • Creation of a Continuous?Creating Functional Surfaces
  • Discuss & create all surfaces design tools.
  • Understand the design criteria for each surfaces type.
  • Create surfaces from pre-loaded .ppf examples

Section B: Machining Surfaces

Moving on from standard machining cycles, the user is shown how to use Edgecam standard

Section C: Advanced Surfaces Machining
Delegates possessing the Advanced Surfaces License (ENS00-N) will be introduced to the extra cycles available in the advanced module.

Who should attend? Users who possess the Edgecam Die & Mould license, typically ENS00-N Advanced Surface Machining or ENSS0-0 Surface Design and Milling Module.
Course prerequisites Prior to enrolling on this course, delegates should have completed one of the following courses: Edgecam Classic Comprehensive Wire Frame Training Course, Edgecam Classic Design and 2½D Axis Milling,Edgecam Solid Comprehensive Training Course or Edgecam Solid Machinist Milling Training.

Get "under the hood" of Edgecam Part Modeler with this introductory course. Understand the power of 3D Design modeling by working through practically based industry examples. This training course is tailored made for users of Multi-Axis Turning centers.
The course is specifically designed to enhance the knowledge acquired within the 2-axis turning environment.
Users will be taught how to create design elements suitable for driven tooling cycles found on advanced Turning centers.
Pick-off Chucks and Collet/Bar Push examples are used to address the disciplines involved within this license.
Wireframe & Solid part files are used within the training class.

Course title

Edgecam 4 Axis and B-Axis Turning Training Course (Duration 1 day)

Description

 

 

This training course is tailored made for users of Multi-Axis Turning centers.
As well as developing their turning skills, users are shown how to operate standard Edgecam milling cycles within the Turn environment. The course comprehensively demonstrates the design and manufacturing steps used to produce B axis and sub-spindle operations.
2-Axis turning principals are developed to include not only dual turret machine tools but also live tooling found on a B Axis.
Balance Turned Cycles and Synchronise commands are used in various example files.
Wireframe & Solid part files are used within the training class
