Edgecam - Mold & Die Introduction

Edgecam can load files from major CAD systems, including Autodesk Inventor®, Solid Edge®, SolidWorks®, Pro/ENGINEER®, Pro/DESKTOP® Unigraphics files up to and including NX5, and CATIA V5. EdgeCAM also accepts files in the following independent formats: IGES, DXF, VDA, Parasolid ® , STEP AP203 and AP214 files and ACIS.

Edgecam offers 2D and 3D CAD functionality to design components from concept to completion, or to modify imported CAD files.

Using a simple Windows-based process, Edgecam Code Wizard creates instant code generators that allow NC code to be produced for the majority of CNC machine tools. Moreover, the Code Wizard provides the capability of building your own machine tool model, so as these graphics are used inside Edgecam's Machine Simulation. In today’s modern machine shop where machine tool configuration is more complex, and thus the risk of collision heightened, Edgecam machine Simulation leads the way.
